Ok, we have been running the business for nearly two years and now are thinking of moving into a retail outlet, We are currently working from a home office and Web, but we would like to have a "high Street" presence as well,

We have spotted a small retail place in a good location for our business
Has anyone else made the change from Home Based to retail and what are the pros and Cons

    Many Thanks

Do you require 'footfall' to expand your business, or is it simply a space issue you have.

Is it a B2B or B2C business you have?

A commercial unit would be far cheaper for rent.

Are you talking of renting or buying this premises? Be sure to do a cash flow forecast for the business, as their will be many overheads along side the obvious one of rent i.e. light and heat (which is by no way cheap), rates, possibly wages for additional staff and all the costs that come with it, telephone etc.

We have taken all the overheads and capital money to bring the premises up to scratch for our requirements into consideration.

The shop is a steal for rent money far cheaper than any commerical business premises we have looked at and it is in a high traffic area both road and footfall on one of the major links into Limerick city from the south of the county, There are also 13 business within the area all doing well. This is the first time in 4 years that one of these units have come up for rent.

We sell B2B and B2C but in order to grow the business as with every business is to expand and become more visable in the county.
We sell a range of procucts under the same theme and there is no other "shop" like it that a person can walk into and buy over the counter.
We will also be doing additional Green services very soon. and of course Contract plumbing.
Does it sound like a plan?
    Thanks
    Musha
