Attempting to make short work of my broccoli - (white) cabbage butterfly larvae i.e caterpillars.

    whitebutterflylarvae1copy_zps7a973b7c.jpg~original

Notice the white "aura" that surrounds the bunch on the cabbage leaf.

These guys are bigger and able to get around faster. One of them seems to be a "runt"! LOL!

Not bad for a day's work!

Hi guys, thanks for all the thanks for the Blue Tit pics I posted earlier. It was a pleasure to get some decent pics through my window which I have to constantly clean.
Anyway, I have been infested with fledgelings over the last week or so & I have a few pics to prove it.
First up a haggard looking Blue Tit adult on my very last fat ball showing the kids how to get food without bothering their arse to much. Although saying that, by the look of her, she was probably delighted with the help.

    Blue-tit_fledgelings009_zps7fb99744.jpg

Second are the Great Tits, very skittish even when their in the same spot! Possibly five fledgelings.

Third are the Greenfinches. I believe there are five flegelings. Delighted to see any addittion to the Greenfinch population. Best pic I could get.

Finally, the Goldfinches of which I am generally infested with during winter. My god they never stop bickering with everything, even their own reflections. Its like a family reunion!

There have been other fledgelings but I have missed the oportunity to get a pic of them.

You can hear these three young'uns long before you see them, a loud, 'peep.. peep.. peep..'

Driving the male bullfinch bananas all morning.

Two in the plum tree, watching..

    ..and one stalking Dad.

Lovely little fellas. I've never payed much attention to fledging bullfinches before.

subdued bee-golden opportunity. It was lashing down here and he was taking cover.I didn't see all the water droplets with the naked eye, no wonder he was hardly moving.Gave him some sugar water and he was gone when I got home
