    Not easy, I go with buzzard due to the shape of tail, white marks, brown color and aparent size.

    Not great quality- but this is a leveret (young hare at this stage) that appears in our garden every day. He/she has chewed up 260 of my 275 beech saplings planted this spring (but who's counting!). A dwarf apple tree is the latest victim.

    I was watching him- with camera for about 20 minutes. Took a few pics including this one- as I walked away I heard this 'Kersplash' and looked back to see him with a decent sized fish( a small trout I think) in his mouth!

    There's plenty of them on the boardwalk in Pollardstown Fen at the moment. Most people don't know they're there at all. If you tip-toe your way up to them, you can get relatively close before they scarper.

    Every time I see a juvenile kittiwake in the autumn I always make sure it's not a Sabine's gull I'm looking at.

    Every time I see a juvenile kittiwake in the autumn I always make sure it's not a Sabine's gull I'm looking at.

    I'd say they're definitely the cause of some minor panic/excitement at the start of the seawatching season before people remember alright!
