It must be 20+ years since I went to the Zoo , so I went on Sunday with the Camera . It has changed a lot and for the most part has improved the enclosures. here is a couple of photos......

The photos on Sunday posed various challenges but especially the Indoor ones . The light inside is very low and the enclosures are mostly Glass fronted , so you cant use a Flash , then outside there was the Wire Mesh to contend with as well as the huge crowd's . If I was going again for the purpose of getting Photos I would go on a week day rather than the weekend but it was a great day out and I got plenty of photos , Its definitely worth a visit

Noticed a Long Eared Owl having a bit of a snooze on the electric fence in the back garden at 6am. Got as close as I could without disturbing the bird but could have done with a decent camera.

Wow, nice photo, which part of the country was that?

I keep seeing a lot of Buzzards soaring above my house in Celbridge today, near castletown house, 3 together today...Nice sight to see them on the way back....

    Back Garden

Even though there are hundreds of ripe berries on this tree, starlings seem to be hot-wired to want the one another starling has taken!
