What's the bottom right flower? I've seen it around last year. Was it growing in very wet conditions. It looks like some foxglove species.........

Hi Feargal, I think you are correct in that it is a type of foxglove, here is the original photo in full size, it might help you identify it better, taken around August 2010 in the Boora Lakes bog area.

I added camera details below the pics in the post above.

My Dad's garden shed is a great spot for taking pics from, as there's a row of apple/pear trees right outside the door, which act as a staging point for the birds before they launch themselves at the feeders.

I'm sort of cheating as these aren't that recent, but in fairness I only discovered the thread now! :o Unfortunately nothing particularly rare, but I think they're nice/interesting photos.

He was the odd one out among a bunch of Canadian geese:

I thought his perch in this one was interesting. :p He's a Magpie.

Barn Swallows against a Cover-All.. well, cover, in an arena.

Incredibly boring type of bird, but again, an interesting perch!

And this one isn't that great a photo, but she had a nest in a vine ball right outside our front door, and I could get within a foot of her without scaring her. It's a contest between her and the robins (who I don't have a picture of) every year as to who gets to nest in that vine ball.

It is! :p Forgot to mention the shot was taken in Canada. In the original photo, the rim around her eyes is a beautiful cyan/blue. I'll have to try to find the colour one. There's loads of them around my home in Ontario.
