Can you guys help me out please, just wondering how do ye attach your images to a post. Making them come up instead of just a link to the pic like.

Most here would have a Flickr account, so first things first is to sign up to Flickr yourself (it's straight forward and easy to do). When you've uploaded an image onto Flickr, you will see four icons just below the image in the bottom right hand corner - click on the third icon from the left (the arrow pointing right), a white box will appear and choose BBCode which will bring up a URL which you can then copy and paste to your Boards post. I hope that doesn't sound too complicated? If you have any hassle doing this, send me a PM and I'd be happy to go through it with you again.

A little flock of Redwing sheltered in the hedge across the field, this is the best photo I could manage at that range

This cub followed me and the dogs up and down the canal. Whilst the mother hid in the reeds. Shame all I had was the pocket camera.

This one's still here playing the waiting game to see which of the small birds give in to the temptation of the feeders.

Here it's following a bird that's in the hedge.

I hadn't birdwatched at the Botanic Gradens before. I got caught by the rain, but will definitely be back.

Now... My memory card got full exactly when the sparrowhawk appeared so only got a record shot.

    @ gzoladz

Suggesstion : If your card gets full -and an important opportunity arises- immediately start deleting earlier 'average' photos( and move from Raw to Jpeg)

Thanks, yes, I tried, but between the anxiety to get the shot before he flew, and the rain you can imagine the outcome! :). This was seconds after he stroke against a group of long tail tits.

Anyway, lesson learned... at least I got the record shot :)

Never had one in the garden, but this one and his buddies came close enough for a photo. Across the field shot, I'll have to work out a way to get closer to that hedge, it's heaving with birds

You don't have to go to Madrid. :) They, and the Robin, do it in my garden. No Pigeons though.

I have robins and pigeons that do the "sneaking around" on the ground.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,297 ✭✭✭savagethegoat

I have goldfinch, siskins and chaffinch doing that*, under the feeders, picking up the droppings. (not that sort of dropping...)

    * If I keep the cat in, which I do most days now
