Hi folks, I don't think I've posted here before, but I come here often to admire your photos. :)

Now, for a change, I've a photo to show too.

I've come across lots of different types of wild violets, but never one like this.

    Thanks indeed.

This young cormorant is a regular along the section of the Lucan Liffey where I walk and I've taken a good few pics of him/her.
Spent a bit more time today thinking about the 'end result' and glad to think/hear that it worked out

Long-eared owl that is nesting in a tree not far from the house. Appears every evening just before sunset.

    Great shots - well done!

They are great shots of a super looking bird. I have only seen adults once or twice but come across juveniles in the summer months a good view times as they do make a racket as dusk approaches looking to be fed. I would guess they must be getting ready to nest in your area. Listen out for the young in the summer; their call is sometimes compared to a squeeky gate.

Took a picture during the week as I was going to work of 2 ducks on top of this building in Limerick

And the male fell off the peak of the roof, I wish I had held the shutter for burst mode but I didnt realise he had fallen till I saw the photo afterwards. He was grand of course but I thought it was very funny.
