Nice find Splish - well done!
Is it likely these spiders are more widespread? I presume as Crab spiders they're most likely found in vegetation?

I was told its a southerly species at the limit of its range. It was beaten from Lawson Cypress when I was looking for Juniper Shieldbug.

I'm in a neighbouring County, so it might be worth looking out for. Thanks.

A Fulmar that landed on Rockabill today. They don't breed here, but do nest on neighbouring islands.

    Hairy Dragonfly (female) Brachytron pratense
This species of dragonfly is typically the first to be seen on the wing in late Spring here in Ireland:

Cucumber Green Orb Spider Araniella cucurbitina sensu lato
Araniella cucurbitina and Araniella opisthographa are almost identical looking species which can only be distinguished from one another via a microscopic examination. Sensu lato ("in the broad sense") means that both species can be recorded under this tag where it is not possible to tell them apart in the field.

It's an adult with, obviously, feather loss on the head..I had a robin last year with exactly the same affliction, didn't seem to affect him greatly, I can't for the life of me remember the name for this condition..

Another picture of the same Fulmar - they've been flying right in over the island quite often over the last few days. Very curious birds!
