Thinking I should wait awhile before posting my image because it would look small on this page...especially for a subject 4mm long...

I'm not sure how it works on a mobile, but this is how you do it from a computer on the legacy site.

If you click on 'Go Advanced' instead of 'Quick reply', it'll open up a screen with way more icons/shortcuts. Click on the paperclip, this will open a pop-up window. Select your file, scroll to the right and click on 'Upload'. The uploaded file will appear just above the 'Attachment key' heading. Close the pop-up window, and save your thread. The picture will appear as an attachment, as long as it's within the allowed size limits.

There are other ways/other steps if you want your picture to appear as an image on thread instead of seeing just the link for it.

See what you think, pm me if you have any problems. :)

A wide variety of species can be seen on the wing right now. I also saw several Painted Ladies, and two Green Hairstreaks which were far too flighty for me to photograph.

Thyme posted a great pic. of a Red Admiral recently, and I lamented the fact that I'd not seen one in over two years. However, on Sunday last, I was thrilled to see this one:
