Trying to get a bit fit for a Camino walk in September.. so I shove my camera into the rucksack as I head out.

These are 2 of loads taken 'automatically' from inside by the camera itself through the zip opening as I walked.. the shutter button obviously being set off by movement:):)

Real Rock Dove from Inishbofin. The rock dove are protected from interbreeding with feral pigeons by peregrines. Any feral pigeons/racing pigeons that stray to Island are predated by peregrine, they are less wary and easier to catch.

Spotted this guy again today on my walk... I thought he looked a bit less sure footed and a bit older

Little rabbit by my aunts house today - some more were in the back field, their camouflage does them justice.

Edit: She texted me to say the rabbits have now officially polished off her laurel plants haha!

    Dodder walk today

I thought this cormorant had ‘bitten off more than he could chew’ when I saw the size of the eel!

    28338176003_a5b9d819e5_b.jpgcormorant
He dragged it under the water numerous times and emerged in a new spot- so I missed a lot of action ... but he did manage to swallow it whole!

This Grey Heron seemed unperturbed by people passing by! The wall is just beside the footpath.

    28338176733_296bf1eba9_b.jpggrey wagtail

Another ringed Black-headed Gull in Bushy Park.
Reported it via Euring and using the letters was directed to their Polish site .. so it seems this bird was ringed in Poland... they said they will forward its history within 2 working days!

Was pulling ragwort this morning before mowing. There were lots of bees out doing their thing. Came across this one and she was really large.
Anyone know its name, are they solitary bees.
BTW I carried the ragwort with bee attached and dropped it onto a growing ragwort plant behind the electric fence.
