Yeah this is the one that gave me a great display overhead the other day. Unfortunately it was dull and overcast, but you can't have it all!

OK, so today I was spoilt rotten. :o

Had a pair in blue skies looking down on me, and the Hen Harrier is still about too.

Do you spend a long time out bird-watching in order to get shots like these. Anyone may answer.

Paulusdu how did you get so close to the Chough

Whyu fabulous photos. What size lens are you using?

Everyone else I'm jealous of what you are getting. Time for me to seriously get back in photography and a DSLR

I am constantly birdwatching, at home, out walking, driving (very dangerous) and then try to get out at least once a week solely for birdwatching and photography, would do more if I could. Nothing beats the buzz of seeing a bird you have never seen before or seeing a particularly elusive one.

Kestrels were the most active today, including one taking a big swipe at the Hen Harrier. Not the below shot unfortunately.

it was in the bog i saw it, it reminded me of a wagtail, had a beigey white breast similar to a Goldfinch, it appeared to have a white rump.
grey/brown back with the black feather on its wing.

it flew around with another, landing on footed turf, then flew off to catch something then back to a perch on some turf.
