Also had a few Goldfinches in

My regular Jackdaw, he has an interesting story. July 2010 he arrived on my wall with a big cut with blood on his head and a broken left leg, and he's still doing well to this day.

And then my almost resident Collared Doves

The Yellowhammer is still visiting regularly too

Went down to the Dodder River yesterday for a long walk. I had hoped to get a photo of the Kingfishers but I missed them everytime, they would appear out of the blue, were too fast, bombing up & down the river.

Here are some others that I saw..

    Dippers, busy building their nest..

Hey so I did a cool "wildlife safari" in Wyoming, USA, and we found some cool stuff... albeit at a distance.

I remember seeing a video on youtube of a red fox diving headfirst into snow while "mousing", they hear the mice below the snow crust and then dive in head first to find the mouse... my one came up empty-mouthed, but it was still amazing to see. These red foxes are a master of adaption so it seems.

In fact, the fox seemed so different, I wonder if the North American version is different, it seemed less slender and more puffy, light coloured and short?

Our native foxs here ain't in best shape I know exactly what you mean the ones in America have different quarry and don't scavenge around towns either
And considering the size of America to Ireland there's a lot of mange goin around our foxes here to theirs takin the size difference into account

Kess may have young robins but ours are still in the courtship phase. I've been trying for ages to snag a photo, even better a video, and have always just missed. Today the camera was by the back door - with a heavy lens on from trying to capture the moon, so this isn't the best but it's better than nothing ;).
