    This one has been ringed at some stage. This is the same bird on an Apple tree and a Cherry tree in my garden. There have been quite a few Siskins and Redpolls in my garden lately and it has been possible to get quite close to them.

    A couple from yesterday, Six Mile Point, Wicklow..

    Manx Shearwater.. this guy caught me by complete surprise, came gliding towards me over the surf, had I put my hand out I could have touched it...

    I was down at the Little Tern Colony at Kilcoole today. The shore line is narrower than last year and some of the waves were reaching the grass line, let’s hope that the weather eases off a bit. Some snaps from the visit...

    Great capture. The 'Orange tip' of the fore wing can be seen through the hind wing which means that this is a male.

    The orange tip I got was just sitting there on the flower. was alive but not moving much coming back about 30 mins later it was still there. Just got lucky
