    I am going to (finally) build myself a the computer I have been on about for months. I already have a god awful looking Case.
    I also have a 19" screen

    I'm looking to buy these products (all from komplett for easiness sake)
    Hard drives
    DVD Drive
    and this kit
    upgraded to the quad core and the 4GB ram with heat pipes. No OS, no card reader.
    Total for new products + VAT & Delivery: € 500.75
    Any suggestions, keeping in mind I'm not very technically minded and can't stretch any further than about €550 altogether (yet!)

    Better off with this imo, Amd is a no no.

    I'm gonna be using it mainly for coding, but it will have to serve as my multimedia center as well. I'll be using it to encode movies, bit of photoshop, and of course gaming! Why do you say AMD is a no no? Not high up on it myself, but have been told that AMD are superior.

    Nothing to discuss really. Intel C2duos and quads are whats hot, cheap and powerfull ATM. Ive a C2Duo coming this week and im going to be blown away at the performance compared to my current AMD.

    Q6600 is faster, uses less power, overclocks more.

    I linked you too a p31 board, but get a p35 for €15 more and enjoy 3.20ghz Quad.

    See them a lot on these threads so they must be pretty reliable, do they have any problems with returns? The only reason I was gonna go with komplett is I've used them a few times in the past and never had any problems.
    Also, should I be looking at higher than the stock cooling for that kind of system? the case only has a few small fans. Would the stock 480W PSU be up to spec?

    The p35 looks pretty sweet but does it have onboard graphics or will I need a grahics card too?
