I have decided to order the parts for my new PC pretty soon, so I have to finalise my list! I am going to order off www.hardwareversand.de (Has anyone ordered off these? Unsure about them, but they're cheap!)

This rig is going to be primarily for gaming so I did some research and this is what I've come up with:

Case: Antec Nine Hundred - €86.99
    PSU: Corsair HX620W - €94.77
    Monitor: Samsung 226CW - €259.99
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3R - €87.05
    CPU: Core 2 Quad Q6600 - €144.99
    Graphics Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3, PCI-Express - €147.92
    Memory: 4096MB-Kit GEIL Black Dragon PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL4 - €82.79
    Hard Drive: WD Caviar 640GB - €64.98
    Disk Drive: LG GH22LP20 - €31.90
    OS: Microsoft Vista 64 Home - €62.89

    Total: €1064.27

So, what do you think?. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

looks good but get yourself a nice cooler for the q6600 and overclock it a bit and your good to go

I was thinking about that alright, but I don't know exactly what cooler I should get. Any suggestions?

By the way, does that mean I should get the "Tray" Q6600 as opposed to the "Boxed" version, seeing as I won't need the cooler that comes with the boxed version (unless I've misunderstood Boxed and Tray).

well in my opinion it depends really, the retail "boxed" version has a 3 year warranty and heatsink/fan (You could sell it on adverts for a fiver or something) and thermal paste but the tray cpu is just bare nothing at all with it and has a 1 year warranty.
If its in and around a fiver extra get the boxed version instead of tray and just sell the stock cooler.

For your average overclocker get an Arctic Freezer Pro 7

For your a bigger overclock get something a bit better like maybe a thermaltake golden orb

or maybe a revoltec freeze tower if your case is big enough(Not to mention it does look pretty cool :p)

Well I think I'll stick with the boxed version, just in case I decide to put off overclocking.

But if I do, I'd have to get a cooler. That Arctic Freezer Pro 7 looks perfect for me, but when I looked for it online, it says it's an 80mm fan in some places but 92mm in other places.

    Are there different models?
