Hydration Pack

While heading out for "playtime" in the mountains during the week, I bought a camelbak bladder for drinking water. The mistake I made was buying the bladder on its own. I figured it'd work fine just dropped into a rocket pouch. It was ok, but not great.

Does anyone know if I can buy a small DPM or Olive Green pack for holding the water bladder secure without wasting money buying a backpack that includes another bladder?

I tried that, but theres no pouch in it, so as the day goes on it works its way into folds and the water stops going to the tube.

Did you suck as much air as you can out of it before putting in the Day Bag??? Otherwise get a Backpack somewhere with a Large front pouch.

Its ideally something like this I'm after, small enough that I can use it with CEFO if necessary.. i.e. when I don't need to be carrying a pack at all.



I might just bite the bullet and buy the full set again. Grr.

I have the above camelbak its has a three liter capacity. As far as I know you have to get the whole kit. I had to buy a replacement bladder this year but the pack is not sold seperately. They are expensive enough about £50 stg. Another idea would be the camelbak storm which is designed to be place in you daypack, but once again your buying the whole kit though its a tad cheaper about £30 stg. Once again it hold 3lts.

I bought one of these. Excellent piece of kit. Not too badly priced. You could always keep current "bladder" as a back up ?
