Advice on travel route

Hi i'm hoping to do the whole travelling thing next year, I'm going and coming back through asia. Do this route sound ok?

Dublin-London-Singapore

From Singapore get the train/bus up to KL then back to singapore

Then get a cheap return flight with Tiger air to Hanoi, make my way to Ho Chi Minh City and go back to singapore (flights are less than €100 return)

Then....Singapore-Perth-Alice Springs-Sydney-Aukland, travel down to Christchurch-Sydney (get internal flights from here to Darwin and travel down the East coast, find a job for a couple of months, then back to sydney) Fly into bangkok on the way home, spend two months travelling around the islands.

Does this route make any sense, the reason i'm thinking of getting a flight from singapore to vietnam is because it works out a lot cheaper than flights out of Bangkok.

Is it a round the world ticket you are getting or getting flights separately?

Yeah i'm getting a RTW ticket but buying the return flights to vietnam and the internal flight in Oz seperately.
