    Hi,
I am debugging/fixing an php web app (my php isn't the best, hence this question)

for a given server, the $_SERVER would be a.mydomain.com

Is there a server variable to get only the subdomain part? I.e just the 'a' from the 'a.mydomain.com' or will I have to get a substring or use a regular expression?

    It's a trivial question I know, but I'm curious

    Thanks
