TBH I cannot see much being made in this business in town considerring that Silver Dollar on Parnell Street hasn't bothered to replace the broken pain of frosted glass in the front of its premisis since it was smashed some 10 years ago,

It's on the 3rd floor of the Library (the Kings), it's opening on the 8th of August and cards will be dealt at 8.08 (8th of 8th at 8 minutes past 8), I hear they are going to be serving drink, which never goes with gambling imvho

Biggles and the Silver Dollar seem to be packed all the time. Probably plenty of room for another casino. Strange the council hasn't gotten them to fix that window. It'd probably get broken again within a week though cos scumbags are like that.

Shannon town has been blocking a casino going in there for donkeys years. Seems fair enough. I don't know why they block a cinema though. Complained it'd lead to anti social behavour or some nonsense. Seems to me the only reason there's anti social behavour in Shannon is there's feck all for kids to do.

This board is great for gossip. Here's my piece for the day. There was going to be a Hillbillys restaurant on Parnell street. Doesn't look like it's going to get the go ahead though, so no 3 o'clock in the morning fried chicken for us sadly. Pretty much the whole market is going to be redeveloped as well by the look of things. Just going to take a bit till they dick around with planning permission.

I'm not involved with it in any way shape or form, but I have it on very good authority that it is happening

No Finbarr we didn't. In my experience it leads to trouble in such an environment. Pm me if anyone is interested in tickets to the opening night...

What is happening on the opening night GKidd?

Imagine there will be a tourney, what else will be going on?

Also is it a proper casino or just a cardroom?

Just to clarify we will open in 2 weeks.
All tickets will be sent by post to interested parties.
Having a little structural trouble which will be sorted out soon.
