A friend on mine is building a downstairs extension consisting of Bathroom, Bedroom and Kitchen.

Batroom will be built next to sitting room with corridor leading from sitting room to Kitchen at front of extension. Bathroom door will face onto corridor.

Would there be planning issues with Bathroom close to Kitchen.

    no.

A room or other space containing a water
closet should be separated from a place used for the
preparation or cooking of food by means of -
    (a) in the case of a building used solely as a
    dwelling, a door, and
    (b) in any other case, a properly ventilated passage
    or lobby.

    Sid,

Thanks for that, the bathroom will have a door, and be 10ft. away from kitchen area as bedroom will seperate the bathroom (closest to existing structure) from Kitchen (furthest away)

You could open the door directly to the kitchen in any event
