Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Unrecognisable Disc

So I finally bought an xbox360 and .. it seems to have broken!

Even on the first day I bought it, during a game a message would pop up saying that the disc was not recognised. Today I would put in any game disc, it would say that it was reading it, but then would go to "open tray" or every so often it would go to "unrecognised disc"

I'm highly frustrated that I wasted 300euro on a console that breaks 3 days into purchase.

Bring it back to the shop you baught it from and you should get it replaced no hassle, The Xboxes arn't the most relyable machines although the PS3s have there fair share of laser problems too ;) , as its only new bring it back and get it replaced I'd reccomend

Brought it back and got a new console no problem. The guy informed me that something like 1 in 10 xbox's are dodgy and get returned. If it happens again I'll just get my money back and buy an itouch.

    Ha.

they are very prone to be broken, but in saying that the newer 360's have been improved so thats a bit strange...

    Ha.

360 is worth the money though, with an iTouch...a Nano would do the job as a cheap alternative.. I love my iTouch, but I mean 360 provides hours of serious entertainment.

Hopefully you'll have a healthy 360 for a fair while anyways!
