    I'm trying my hand at satirical writing on my blog at the moment, would it be okay to link to the post to get some feedback on whether it's actually funny or would that be decidedly naff?

    I thought I'd ask before self-promoting.

    Overall, I think that it's very good. Can I make one critical observation? (Sorry) I find it funnier when jokes are left hanging, but you explained one or two of yours, e.g

    “people would only buy out of brand loyalty – and even then they’d be tempted to switch – kind of like Clinton’s support base actually”.

    Drop the bold part and it's funnier, (more subtle.)

    Anyway, that's a minor gripe and I hope that you take it as constructive criticism, because that's the way that it's meant.

    Actually that's a really handy bit of feedback - thank you. I wonder at what point to leave it to the people's brains. I think I shall have to start trusting that getting jokes isn't rocket science! Seriously, cheers :)
