The Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport published their Report on Developing an Efficient Bus Network for Dublin on Wednesday. Unfortunately it got buried below the "story" about Dublin Bus -v- Circle Line. It is worth reading - beware though that it is over 8mb and needs an acrobat reader.…

It is worth reading - beware though that it is over 8mb and needs an acrobat reader.

A lot of sensible proposals in there.

Alas, the notion of flat fares was removed from the final report.

Page 12, add a new recommendation that
reads “To promote the modal shift,
support Dublin Bus to enable the
company to implement €1/ 50 cent
fares across the central Dublin Bus
Network.”
