Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If you had a scummer up before you having been charged with two vicious murders would you give him bail and then cut him even more slack as he abuses the conditions of same?

    article
A YOUTH charged with the murders of two Polish men was yesterday warned he was at the "last chance saloon" over whether he could continue to remain free on bail pending his trial.

David Curran (18), with addresses at Lissadel Green, Drimnagh, and Deansrath Avenue, Clondalkin, both Dublin, can remain on bail providing he engages with a specialised service dealing with self-harm -- the High Court heard he was a suicide risk.

He is charged with murdering Pawel Kalite (29) and Marius Szwajkos (27) at Benbulben Road, Drimnagh, on February 23 last.

Last Tuesday, the State applied to revoke Curran's High Court bail after gardai found him in an intoxicated state on July 4, just as a curfew he had been put under was about to start.

Part of his original bail conditions were that he was to stay out of the Dublin 12 area and observe a 10pm to 7am curfew in a sober state.

The court heard he was arrested after he was among a group of youths found drinking on a school grounds in Drimnagh at around 9.50pm.

When approached by Garda Roger Quinn, he and some of the youths ran off. The garda gave chase and managed to catch him when he fell as he was about to climb over a wall.

Following his arrest, he admitted he had taken six ecstasy tablets. While in garda custody, his condition from the effects of the drugs deteriorated and he had to be taken to hospital.

His lawyer claimed the taking of ecstasy was an attempted suicide and, as a result, a local youth worker intervened and he obtained an appointment on Wednesday to see a psychiatrist.

Strip him naked, put a jumpsuit on him and throw the tosser into a padded cell. He can bide his time there.

    Mike.

That is a joke. As Mike says, strip him naked, put a jumpsuit on him and throw the tosser into a padded cell. I found it ridiculous that he got bail at all in the first place.

Its actually embarrasing, imagine the polish parents of those dead guys hearing about this...

    Fucking Farcical....

Reality, if i told the Judge he was a ****ing idiot in court, i would be behind bars.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,247 ✭✭✭✭Guy:Incognito

Why send him to a service to help him stop self harming (moreso because sayign he was trying to commit suicide by taking the ecstasy is bull) , they sould be encouraging him to do himself as much harm as possible. Hopefully culminating in him topping himself.

Or better still, chain him to a wall in a room and broadcasr 24hrs to let people watch him die. People could pay €100 to give him a few digs aswell.

Like the case yesterday where a couple tried to lure some kid into a car. The guy pretended to be a Guard. The judge said that it was an appalling case. He was so fucking appalled he gave them 6 months.:rolleyes:

Sorry, too lazy then, but here it is now:

    http://www.independent.ie/national-news/fake-gardai-jailed-for-six-months-over-teen-assault-1439768.html

    Here's the first bit:

A JUDGE has described a case where a man and a woman tried to entice a 13-year-old boy into their car under the pretence that they were gardai as "one of the most disgraceful and outrageous" he has ever presided over.

It'd be LOL if the kids father, and four of his buddies "tried to entice" the scum bags "into their car under the pretence that they were" IRA. I wonder would the judge if so caring then?

That pair will probably be out by next weekend, after getting time off for good behaviour. No doubt "someone" will be waiting outside to offer them a lift home after their ordeal. ;)

Like two weeks ago in galway, two travellers, one with 176 convictions and the other with 88 warned that this time it really was their last chance. Haha 177 strikes and you're out?

So, this guy hasn't been convicted of anything yet, has he?

Let's hold off the hangings etc just for the time being :P

That's hardly the fun, spur of the moment, justice I crave. Down with you and your due process I say!

He is charged with a double murder. He broke his bail conditions - he should be locked up until the trial. Simple as that.

I couldn't believe that they bought the suicide story.

    It's all very ****ing dissapointing.

I read somewhere (might've even be here on boards) that scumbags with a lot of convictions have a lot of experience in playing the system, that's why they are getting away with **** again and again. Ordinary citizens on the other hand, who for some reason get into trouble, don't know how to do it and end up having the book thrown at them.

I can't understand how people with 50 + convictions, including for violent crime, are allowed back on the streets. It's just not right.

I think it's crazy the fact that anyone accused of murder can be given bail, never mind this little ****.

That judge must be the stupidest person on the planet if he believed that crap about that scummer trying to commit suicide. He was out with his mates and drinking and taking drugs. He is caught out of his bin a few minutes before his curfew starts.. yeah that really cries suicide attempt to me. The parents of those 2 polish guys must be wondering what sort of justice system we have at all.

IIRC a couple of psychiatrists actually stated they didn't think this guy was a suicide risk at all.
This guy is completely laughing at the system.

The system favours the accused and that wont change anytime soon.

    .

Well, to be honest, I was mostly referring to these types of comments. Unless you think they're appropriate punishments for breaking conditions of bail?

I'd hang the fcuking little nacker.

ah an afterhours special brought to you by devore(tm)

ps a person charged with two murders should never be let out on bail.

For a crime as serious as murder I don't think Bail should even be a possibility.

When these two pieces of vermin were arrested, the Polish community were shocked that they were given bail. They will be horrified altogether when they see the slap-on-the-wrist sentences the two scumbags will get if convicted.

Saves the state a fortune not having them in prison.
Creates more work for the legal eagles.
    Win/Win for both:rolleyes:
