Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Try a google serach for what you know eg.....

    it an error msg

it comes in a dialog box

and the text is "windows - no disk"

    So google.........

error msg dialog box "windows - no disk"

.... and include the inverted commas

first on the list might be http://www.consumingexperience.com/2007/11/windows-no-disk-exception-processing.html which gives a believable reason and solution.

Those are seperate parameters to the exception mentioned but sure give it a try. if not the greatest source of information is the microsoft knowledge base: you can start up a thread in there if you need to and the Redmond nerds will get back to you

Laptop or PC ? What model and specs ? It looks like a "missing" floppy or CD/DVD lapttop drive that doesnt exist or isnt inserted but there could be any number of causes .
The referenced parameters are physical locations on your RAM afaik so I wouldnt be inclined to include them in a google search as your own issue would probably refer to different RAM addresses next time it occurs .
Are there any messages in Administrative Tools/Event Viewer/System that might help ?

it's a pc, don't have a floppy drive, think it might be to do with the card reader built into my monitor , ill try google as suggested

Go into your BIOS , usually F2 or DEL key on boot , and ensure floppy drive is disabled .

The reason for NOT suggesting googling those exeception parameters is that they could be different each time and the same problem would most likely create different exception paramaters on a different machine.
