    Will she? Won't she?

As a love torn Carol struggles to make a decision between the dependable and adoring Christy, and the passionate and daring Louie, could another soap wedding be about to unravel?

Weddings have rarely run smoothly in Carrigstown, in fact you could say that matrimony has equalled mayhem at times.

Till death do you part could be sooner than you think.
Not only was Ray widowed on his big day, but Niamh also lost her mother on her wedding day!

It doesn't matter how prepared you are, it's almost impossible to get hitched without a hitch.
During the reception of childhood sweethearts Suzanne and Damien, Rita had a stroke, dampening the honeymoon period somewhat.

There is a high risk of being jilted at the altar.
So, the dress is on, hair coiffed, and the first bar of the 'Arrival of the Queen of Sheba' has struck up, but that doesn't mean the ring is on the finger! As Mike Gleeson found out when Helen Doyle ran from the altar in to the arms of her lover, Paul Brennan.

It may be a case of 'Unhappy' after.
On Carol's first wedding day, her groom, the inimitable Billy, slept with bridesmaid and best friend, Tracey. The marriage went from bad to worse and ended with Billy being clobbered with a golf club.

Food for thought for the residents of Carrigstown!
As your potential life partner lowers down on one knee and exhales that big question, before you answer: stop, think, and look around. Because your big day could well end up being your last day!

Click here to browse through our wedding album.

I'm really sorry I missed the episode where Tracy and Carol got hitched!

(Jeesh! How many times did Leo get married?)

I'm really hoping for a nice little break from Louie, Carol and Christy after next week - I like all 3 characters, but it has been absolute overkill the last few months.

Everything else has been good - I like the storyline with The Station and all involved in that, Bob running the Hungry Pig, and the Lent stuff with Wayne, Cass, Pete etc. is entertaining.

Yes they are but I suppose the actress isn't due back yet... I love Tracey but don't forget Una didn't come back when her own brother died so I wouldn't hold much hope of a best friend coming back for a wedding! ;)

I would like a break from the Dillons as well, they are overkill lately.. They have caught the Niamh/Paul virus!

It's a funny storyline, Cass is brilliant, he would come out with anything!!

The Carol/Louie/Christy storyline is just so like the Helen/Paul/Nicola/Mike story from years ago. Even if Carol does marry Christy she will probably still be having an affair with Louie after the wedding. It is a soap.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 148 ✭✭starryeye

Louie and Carol are so obvious. You would have to be blind not to see the affair going on and suspect something. You would think that Yvonne would be suspicious of the two of them by now. It is dragging on too long. To be honest I think Yvonne and Louie are better suited than Carol and Louie. Christy and Carol are not suited either. I don't think Carol would be happy with either of them long term.

Why is it in one of the first two scenes in Fair City over the past few weeks on a Sunday Evening do we hear Church Bells. Cant they come up with anything else.

Was that not the worst hen party of all time ??? For half of it there were only 4 women at it and then only another 2 showed up. Does Carol not have any friends ???

Whenever Carol and Louie have a scene together in public, it is SO obvious that there is something going on between them. Last week they were holding hands on a bench in public view. Everyone in Carrigstown should have copped on by now. If they were having an affair, they would be more secretive. Bad scriptwriting..

Love the scenes with Cass and Wayne. They are a great double act.

It was an unrealistic hen, and on a Sunday, coming back from town to go to McCoys and it still bright outside!!

The story is dragging on too long and is becoming too unrealistic as a result. You would need to be blind not to see the affair.

They did go for lunch in town and it would still be bright when they came back, what is unrealistic about that?

    Sunday
Bob taunts Carol and suggests that he knows about the affair. In Phelans, Ray is with Christy and supports him as he is asked by Paul what happened. Christy tries to put on a brave face. Despite her best efforts, Carol calls to McCoys to see Louie. They agree that they can't stay away from one another and decide to see each other discreetly.

Things go from bad to worse for Christy when he learns that Ali knew about the affair. They leave on bad terms, which is witnessed by Jo. Jo warns him not to lose touch with Lorcan, who adores him. Barry and Niamh agree on the importance of Rachel studying Irish. Rachel is mortified when Niamh reveals Rachel's real taste in music to Philip. Carol meets Ali and Ali tells her that she made the right decision. Pete, Keith and Orla assist Dolores in setting up Wayne to break his Lenten vow. Wayne leaves disgusted.

Christy tries to assure Ray he is fine but becomes furious when he realises that Carol is visiting Louie. He goes into the back room of McCoys and finds them in a romantic embrace. He tells Carol that she has lied for so long she doesn't know how to keep her word. He accuses them of laughing behind his back. He leaves and Carol then persuades Louie that they really need to keep apart for Christy's sake. In an attempt to look grown up to Philip, Rachel puts away all her childish items.

Christy relents and runs out to the taxi just before Ali and Lorcan leave. He says a tearful good bye to Lorcan who shows him a drawing of 'Granny and Grandad'. A compassionate Yvonne offers Carol a place to stay. Carol thanks her for helping her out in her time of need. In Phelans a conniving Bob tries to make friends with Christy. He tells him that there is a rumour going around that Carol is having an affair. Christy denies it saying it's a lie.

    Tuesday
Bob meets Christy and tries to goad him into reacting angrily about Carol. Charlotte calls to Monastery Avenue in an attempt to try and skip school and hang out with Decco. Louie meets Christy in McCoys and awkwardly asks for Carol to be put back on the roster. Christy is forced to agree to it. In Vinos Dean fights his exhaustion to pay off his debt. Leo tries to hide his concern. Ray approaches Carol and asks her what happened. He tells her that Christy is not acting like normal and he is worried about him.

Vivienne is hurt when Judith puts Charlotte's truancy down to her upbringing. Carol calls to Louie and he admits to her that he is finding it hard to stay away from her for Christy's sake. He tells her that he's put her back on the roster and she is secretly delighted. Leo goes to Finn and persuades him to hire Dean to cater for The Station opening. But later Dean is annoyed when he learns what Leo did and turns Finn down. In Phelans Christy spurns Ray's attempt to find out more about the break up. A stressed Jo fails to get the venue she wanted for her Compassion Fashion event.

Vivienne realises that Charlotte is with Decco and calls to the house. He tells her she's gone but it's Vivienne fault that she's not in school. A defeated Vivienne leaves and Charlotte comes out of hiding. Decco tells her that Vivienne lied about what her dad is like as well. He calls Paddy, their dad, and asks him to tell her his side of the story. His version of the events upsets Charlotte. Carol, Christy and Louie argue over the roster and Bob spots them. He pretends to only realise then that Louie is the person she was having an affair with. Christy nearly cracks and begs Bob not to reveal anything saying he has gone through it enough.

Dean calls to Leo in the Hackney office and challenges Leo for interfering in his professional life. Leo tells him that he's doing it for his own good. Vivienne fears that Decco may have poisoned Charlotte against her. She tells Denzo and Zumo that she should have kept Charlotte away from them. The boys are surprised by vehemence but don't react. Decco calls over and taunts Vivienne about Charlotte.

In McCoys, Sarah persuade Finn to hire her for the opening. Dean swallows his pride and asks Finn for work. Charlotte angrily accuses Vivienne of going to England to have an abortion and Paddy tried to stop her. Vivienne can't deny it or tell her that Paddy raped her. Charlotte tells Vivienne she is not going to stay with her and leaves with a delighted Decco.

    Wednesday
Vivienne frets about Charlotte but refuses to use the truth about Paddy's rape to win her back. Zumo tells her that she'll tire of Decco and will be back to her soon. Leo begins to worry that Dean is over confident about the menu that he has created for Finn's opening. Dermot comes up with an idea to help Jo and persuades Finn to host the fundraiser in The Station. He enlists Barry and Esther's help with Compassion Fashion. Carol approaches Christy and tries to talk to him. He tells her to go away and is hurt when he sees Louie, who was obviously going after Carol.

A disappointed Sarah discovers that Neasa will be her boss. Dermot spots Sarah and tries to get her involved in the fundraiser as well. Carol and Louie struggle to find a way to deal with Christy. Neasa advises Dean that he needs to come up with something original for The Station's catering. He tells her that it would be a waste of time and Finn will be delighted with what he serves. Decco begins to get irritated by Charlotte's presence but still uses her to hurt Vivienne. Zumo threatens Decco and tells him not to mention the abortion again. Louie urges Christy to sell up and leave Carrigstown. A furious Christy quits McCoys but tells Louie that this is his home town and he's not going to leave. Carol is angry at Louie when she learns what he has done.

In The Station's bar Dean is mortified when Finn rejects his menu. He promises him another menu for tomorrow. Dermot rejects Esther's attempts to use Compassion Fashion for Slimstar PR. Bob fails to persuade Christy that they should unite in revenge against Louie and Carol. Bob offers to buy his shares from him instead. Bob reminds Christy that they are laughing at him. Caoimhe offers Dean a good time but he rejects her for work. Judith surprises Vivienne with her concern for Vivienne's dilemma with Charlotte.

In McCoys, Carol and Louie share a moment and admit that they are glad Christy quit and they no longer have to deal with him. Decco refuses to let Vivienne see Charlotte but gets unwanted responsibilities in return. Jo hides her disappointment at being pushed aside at the Compassion event. Christy calls to McCoys and tells a delighted Carol that he is thinking about taking Louie up on his offer. But he becomes furious again when he learns that Yvonne knew of the affair. He uses Bob to get his revenge on Carol and Louie by saying that he is selling his shares to Bob. Zumo agrees that he will move back to Monastery Avenue for Charlotte's sake.

    Thursday
Carol's belief that Bob is exploiting Christy's vulnerability gives him pause for thought. Louie asks him to wait two months before he does anything and Christy tells him not to threaten him. Caoimhe attempts to help Dean but he is stubborn and refuses it. In the Hungry Pig, Christy tells Bob he needs time to think about selling the pub. Bob shows a photo of Carol and Louie kissing and hints at blackmail. Zumo tells Vivienne that she needs to stick to her plan and not break down with Charlotte.

Jo tries to get Barry to let her co-MC and he refuses. Jo feels that Dermot has hijacked her event and has ruined everything. In the Station Bar Sarah is put out when Finn praises Neasa. Denzo and Decco claim that they like having Charlotte in Monastery Avenue. But Vivienne tries to hide her hurt at Charlotte's newfound freedom. Dean chats to Caoimhe about how tough Finn is to please. Caoimhe tells him that Finn is messing him about because he is the boss and can do so. Dean snaps at her and Caoimhe leaves.

A delighted Bob calls to McCoys and announces to Louie and Carol that he is now a co-owner. Louie tries to emphasise to Bob the limits of his involvement in McCoys. Christy arrives in and denies to Carol that he sold the place out of spite. Vivienne decides not to write a cheque for Charlotte's school trip. Dermot asks for Sarah's help to make Compassion Fashion a success. Finn gets really stressed prior to the opening of his new venture.

Vivienne meets Decco and asks him to give the school trip form to Charlotte. When she leaves he tears it up. The Station Bar opens and the launch is a success. Dean's food goes down well but Caoimhe is hurt when her support goes unappreciated. Louie's arrival irritates Bob. Leo and Ray call to Phelans and try to encourage Christy to attend the opening of The Station. Back at the venue Jo gets to make her pitch about Huntington's disease but Dermot's auction plan goes awry when Bob and Tommy try to out-bid Sarah and she ends up buying a scarf for €120 - which Dermot secretly has to pay.

Bob drinks and broods and then decides to expose Louie and Carol's affair to the public. He takes his phone and connects it to the laptop, which is linked to a projector. A picture of Louie and Carol kissing is projected on the wall. Bob's smile fades when he sees Christy arrive. Louie is shocked when he sees it and Christy flees the bar.

As far as I know noone.. She was more concerned with renting out Tracey's place. Did Finn even tell his boss that he was leaving? :pac:

From a storyline in Feb, she mentioned the apartment to Louie:

Carol offers to put her apartment up for sale to help him, but he refuses her suggestion.

And then Eileen moved out into Monastery Avenue - and according to Angel01 Carol offered to sell her apartment to help Louie with funds. Bob is living in Tracey's old place. Unless Zumo is living there (which I doubt).

Also who's living in Charlie's old place?
And who's living in the apartments that Robin and Jimmy used to own?
Is Yvonne still living over the pub with Suzanne?

    Now I'm confused too.....

Dermot is the manager of the community centre, he gets paid for that role, Jo helps to run the charity shop (again am presuming a paid role), Philip pays his way also... Dermot I think also does consultancy work..

Actor who played Sean went off to do theatre work (and pantos), character is forgotten about. Niamh & Paul hardly featuring these days (am still convinced actress playing Niamh is preggers..)

The local PO is undergoing planning permission... :D

I would have thought that such a position would be a voluntary roll and the only expenses that the shop would have is rent and whatever rates and insurance that go with it.

It could quite possibly be but not sure if she owns the shop or just helps run it.. either way, I imagine Dermot is the main household earner in their family.
