    Ok Folks

I changed the plugs and coil pack on my mondeo, the stuttering seems to have gone and its much more responsive, but the nasty orange engine light is still on.

what next? do I need to go to a stealers to investigate?

Oil contaminated the plugs, as the oil filler cap was crocked, I put on a new cap but noticed the plugs I took out were coated in a bit of oil.

The light is on because a fault was recorded - maybe due to the a faulty coil pack which you replaced.

But just because the faulty part has been replaced does not automatically mean the EML will extinguish. The fault memory still needs to be read and erased - for this you need to hook it up a diagnostic tool.
