Please move if not in appropriate forum. I'm designing a 468x60 pixel banner for a sole trader who has recently started in business. He has a website, but the design is poor. He said to me "how do they access the web site,if you want to play around with my website let me know and give me a price to get it up and running…

I'm designing a 468x60 pixel banner for a sole trader who has recently started in business. He has a website, but the design is poor. He said to me "how do they access the web site,if you want to play around with my
website let me know and give me a price to get it up and running and
put some of that stuff in like the plug you did".

So he doesn't have any knowledge of servers, websites or design etc. I'm not looking to rob the guy, I'd just like to give him a fair price and a nice clean site.
