does anyone know the original name of powerscourt waterfall, whether there was any druid activity there (surely) and the original name and use of the powerscourt land, where the house is? before the la poer castle I mean.
    thanks, v. interested to know.

Druid activity? You mean any prehistoric ritual sites recorded in the area?

I'll try find out, in the interim, why not look up the 'archaeological inventory of county wicklow' to see what sites are recorded, and maybe look up the townland in 'Manuscript Sources for the History of Irish Civilisation', available for consultation in the National Library - this should give you an idea as to what documentary evidence is available for the site/area.
