Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just wondering what this is?? I know its not a permanent position but is it a full time position?? Are these lecturers paid during the summer of just for the 8/9 months they work??

Also a full time A/L does on average 18hrs per week. Would a pro-rata person work similiar hours???

No, it's generally not a fulltime position. It basically means the hours vary from semester to semester, depending on school needs.

The contract will dictate whether you are paid over the summer, most likely not.

From my experience it is essentially a case of being paid just for the teaching that you do i.e. on an hourly basis. Not something that would replace a full time job.

However, it is useful for the cv if you are thinking of going down that route. It is how I started out before getting a lecturing position.
