Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Connecting to Media Center

I'm not a big gamer but I'm looking for a way to 'extend' media center onto my TV.
I've read a lot about how this is possible with the XBox. Has anyone done this? Is the quality OK? Is is any good for HD?

I know netgear and d-link have boxes that do this, but they're pretty much the same price as a nice new XBox. Given the choice I'd like to get a free console.

I have a media center and 360 connected to the same TV so I never really played around with it properly. It was easy and straight forward to get the xbox connected to the media center. But the Media Center would not play all video files, I had to exit the Media Center and play them through the Videos tab of the 360. This is annoying plus not all videos were supported. Maybe this has been solved recently as I haven't played around with it in a while.

its a great feature it allows you to
    access all your tapes shows,
    add shows to be taped,
view live tv with guide and pause/rewind
resume a show from where you stopped it from either tv

setting it up just involves having them on the same netwrok, so just plug them both into your bb router, and follow instruction available on the xbox website

it works fairly well, i found that sometimes maybe every 2-3 months you have to delete the xbox from the mediacenter pc and add it again, but this only takes 2 mins

there is a program call 360 transcoder that allows you to play divx files, but you need a quick mce pc
