not saying i'm going, but if i was, do we go by our real names or usernames, and do we have masks with our aviator on, so we reconise each other

    ;)

We'll decide a place to meet and it will work itself out.

Gilly/Gillie is practically my real name at this stage anyway!;)

So. Do we have enough to make this work?
Nothing from Madge, ilgatto, Peasant etc. yet?

    Any ideas on where yet?

We best warn the establishment beforehand, so they can lay on extra chairs.

Six or seven rather uncomfortable strangers are about to decend on them.

As a smoker, is there any chance we could go somewhere with a smoking area pretty close to the drinking area? Otherwise I'll be gone for half the night. The only two other SliBoards (like it?!) I've met are not smokers so I guess I could be on my own.

Soooo... I propose the Belfry, back bar, nice booths that would probably fit us all, and a heated smoking area beside it for me! Also, I could press my nose up against the window to see what your all up to while I'm gone.

going off topic very slightly, dont smoke my self, but spend more time in the smoking area of the belfry than i do inside, seems more sociable out there

We're livin' on the edge, us smokers.

When you dice with death like we do, you tend to try and enjoy every moment.

Back on topic, anyone else got any ideas? Belfry, can be quite loud, could be hard to hear each other (yes, I AM that old!)

    Gillie, oh Master, lead us.

A few cans in the ironically named peace park?

The Glasshouse is a nice little spot too.

    +1 The Glasshouse

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,830 ✭✭✭CountingCrows

My vote goes to McLoughlin's on High Street. Nice cosy spot with good Guinness and isn't as intimidating for strangers as bigger bars like Glasshouse & Belfry.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,640 ✭✭✭Gillie

    I'm a smoker myself.

    As for a venue.
McLaughlins sounds good. So does the Belfrey and the Glasshouse.
    Hard to say really.

    What are your thoughts?

My vote goes to the Glasshouse, cos I can park there and don't want to be walking through town at night.

    That is all!

Guys you have to realise that as a moderator, if there is a local boards event then the mod pays all night long,

Muffler and I had the donegal and leitrim reunion last week, it was a great night but a very low turn out.
