Bought a special dog whistle last week. You can adjust the pitch of the sound on it. I have it at a fairly high pitch but it still is only fairly low volume to the human ear.

I assume this is like a ghetto blaster to the dogs ears though?

The packaging said that it was important to keep the same pitch all the time - which is what I have done. I am just inquiring about the dogs being able to hear it.

They are slowly responding to it but as usual my female dobie only considers it an advisory signal - ie: if she feels like obeying it.

a very good dog whistle is the acme 210. they are around €6. they are generally the standard for training dogs in the field and they give a constant and same sound so as not to confuse the dog.
