Hey guys, i am absolutly useless when it comes to cars. I am looking to upgrade from my 1st car. I would like some form of hatchback between 2002-2005, 1.2-1.4ltr and have a limit of about 8grand! But would like to not have to spend this much!! Any one got any ideas of what the best car would be for me and what cars to avoid?? Any response would be great

    Thanks

    Aaron

What do you need in a car? Small, large? city or motorway driving? Manual or auto? etc

EDIT, woops, missed that bit where you went into detail...My bad :o

1.2 fiat panda? 2005 1.2 models go for around the 5000 mark, wouldn't pay more than 5gs tbh. Very reliable, practical and great price, not the nicest looking of cars though.

Sounds like you're in Ford Focus territory. 5,6,7,8k for 2003-2005 model.
Decent and reliable - and I don't even like them.
