have just seen the draw and thought it was done unfairly and to make matters worse....there was a millionaire winner in Tralee.I'm not a begrudger but does anyone else find this a little bit suspiciuos the fact that the Rose of Tralee was on down there at the same time as well

Totally agree... Knew from the first ticket number drawn that I had not won as all day today the retailer who sold me the ticket was hoping for a significant win... Obviously she had not been contacted for the " photo". There was no sense of excitement at all.

Something a little odd about it alright. Where was the excitiement?? Derek Mooney couldn't even fake it. The photo of the retailers was somewhat strange, did they ship off seven photographers to the various parts of the country after the draw or was it just one poor f*cker. I didn't have a ticket but my sister did and nada!!

I would assume they keep a stockpile of photos of the various shopkeepers from when the lotto machines were installed or updated or what not.

I seriously doubt they went around to vairous shops taking photos today, but who knows ?

Nah, i reckon the draw was done ages ago and they called round to the stores that had won decent prizes and got some photo's. I have to say i think it was terrible. Really bad form. It should have been done live.

I would have thought they were drawn already, because they had the photos and names of the shops and they were just reading them out there and then, so they decided to leave the tralee winner till last to build up the excitement.

He mentioned they did the draw earlier in the day in the presence of xyz independant people. He was being fed the results in his earpiece (and possibly on a big screen that wasn't visible to us at home). Personally I was waiting for a big drum with 300k footballs in it (honestly!), then I could have lost but lost with some entertainment !

I just don't think they ran around Ireland then getting photos as this would essentially involve leaking the results (even partially .. narrowing it down to certain shops is what they'd be doing) before the draw.
