Im sure this question has been asked before but it has never been clarified for me. What are the eye sight restrictions for the Class1 medical? also are you allowed wear glasses if you dont pass? Any info is greatfully appreciated :)

I can't remember the numbers but you can wear glasses up to a certain level.

I have glasses that I only use for flying. I know a lot of other people who have to wear glasses for flying as well. I also know a few with laser eye surgery done and they pass the class 1 no probs.

Just type in class 1 medical requirements into google and you'll get what you need.

True, but they can only have up to 5 diopetres of correction to make your sight 6/9

    Edit: take a look here:

Yes, this is the only way to find out OP. For many years I wondered and tried to guess would I be able to pass despite my glasses....a quick trip to them put my mind at rest and didnt cost a penny. Sadly cannot fly commerically but at least I know!
