    Eased off here but still raining moderately and some darker cloud to my west.

    the rain has just kicked off in dublin city centre starting to get heavy! i've never seen the sky so dark!

    Has been lashing continuously since my last post but it looks like a clearance is very slowly coming in from the west. Went for a drive and there is a lot of flooding on the back roads and just surface water on the main ones. Boyne in Trim is breaching its banks in places.

    Had a brain wave to get the train into work and beat the traffic this morning.

    It didn't work out all that well, got pi$$ed on coming home.

    Cloudy but not raining atm. Looking bright towards the mountains.

    Rain has now stopped here and the sun is trying to put in a late appearance. 17.6mm since midnight, with 26.4mm in the last 24 hours.

    A chilly 11.3C now after a high of 16.5C earlier this afternoon.
