I have an 04 VW Passat TDI 130bhp.

Anyone experience with remapping one? Is it a good (safe) idea or am i just likely to end up with no licence/written off car?

Mrs Whosbetter?'s conveyance is an ageing Ford Scorpio.
The look of this car would frighten anybody's horses.
Nonetheless, it's roomy & surprisingly good to drive.

My own Steed is a 15 year old Mazda 626.
    It has; Intergalactic mileage.
It doesn't have ; Any straight panels left.
OH refuses to be seen in it. Says it lowers the tone of the entire area & calls it the 'mobile ashtray'
I call it the Millennium Falcon.

    Exhibit 3, is a '74 Rover V8.
This is used as a backup car when one of the above ones is in 'dry dock'
Crank the engine on this, & it makes a sound like it's creating it's own weather!
Fuel bills make me want to cry though.

Also, we have an '82 Ford Capri GT4.
This is in bits & pieces in various sheds in 2 diff counties.
Will be a bitchin' car when I eventually get round to finishing it.

To run a fleet like this you need to have a few things.
    1 Ingenuity
2 A decent range of tools
    3 AA membership
    4 A good towrope!

On the upside, we've never had any carloans.

Guess this is what you would call 'Bangernomics':D

Been a Capri fan for years.
The GT4 is a rare model & it's on Irish plates too.
It's a car well worth doing up.
All I need to do now is win the Lotto.:D:D

See you have a nice Saab there.
The 900 is Mrs Whosbetter?'s fave car.

    Would love to!
Unfortunately, I've been put on a 3 day week recently.
That's great for time, but not great for funds, so that project goes on the long finger....yet again.

Yeah, it would be. The Missus does her shopping there.
It's a family heirloom. Her Dad had it & passed it on to her when he traded up.
As I said before, they're surprisingly nice cars to drive.
    Very safe too..

Still, these are the times we're living in.

you did by leaving out 1 square bracket in post number 54.
A mod can easily fix it.
