Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How do EA mange to get sequels out under a year after the prequels???I assume games like skate 2 would be under development before the first one is even released??

it will probably update the skaters clothes, add some more skaters etc.

surprised it isn't called skate 2008 tbh

I swear, if this is just an update to the stupid branded clothing and advertising I'm going to be unhappy. i loved Skate but it needs two things.

    1. you need to be able to get off your board.

    2. you need to be able to control the camera in the video editor (which I hope they hugely improve too, I loved video editing!)

    DeV.

Always regret just renting the first for a week so I'll probably pick this one up regardless of how much/little is updated. Is it just me or does the link in the OP not work?

From viewing the trailer on ign, it looks like an improvement. You can get off you board by the looks of it plus theres hand plants. My concern is with the controls now, with the added functionality I'm wondering how complicated will they be, I loved the control scheme on the first one.

Also, in the trailer it shows people moving picnic tables onto slopes to improve their line, I think that looks pretty cool.

Its going to be a whole new world! 1st game was based on Barcelona, San Francisco and Vancouver. This is based on New York and two other places id say

Not true, the game is still set in the fictional world of San Vanelona, so ign.com reports.

However, I think the locations and that will change because in Skate It on the Wii the city of San Vanelona was hit by multiple natural disasters and the citizens evacuated so I think the city was rebuilt after it was destroyed and the rebuilt city of San Vanelona is the one in Skate 2.

Ah right, well judging from the trailer its going to be alot different, hopefully the layout of the city will be different aswell.

2008 release would you say? Around christmas coming into the new year would be good.
