Think of times when you act with what you see as good sense. Is this sense in your eyes akin to righteousness, does it correlate with righteousness?
Is it possible for you to act in what you see as good sense but not see it as noble or righteous?

Self preservation may be seen as righteous . You have been gifted your life after all .

So good sense may justify not intervening in a fight or bully-beating even though clearly a victim needs help .

Serious guilt trip though - hardly noble to walk away .

And yet - is there ever a truly selfless act ? ( classic philisophical question ) - to intervene ( and possibly foolishly risk the divine gift - your own life ) would be to satisfy ones own impulse .

A desire for the hero's role . Can't face the guilt of the conequences of not intervening , would surely be selfish and self satisying .
