Reclaiming VRT

I imported a car into Ireland 2 months ago and paid VRT, changed plates etc. I'm now thinking of moving to the UK and was wondering if you get a refund on the VRT when you leave the country? Considering it was just a few months ago that I brought the car in? Long shot I know :)
