Since I got upgraded there last week the line keeps disconnecting every hour or so, or even more frequently sometimes. Has it been happening to anyone else? Any remedies to fixing it? Doubt its ports or anything....

any help would be greatfully appreciated

Can you post up your router stats?

go to your router configuration page (usually 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.1.1) and put up your attenuation and Noise margin figures

Those line stats are very good so you shouldn't have an unstable connection. Have you tried a different router or maybe resetting. Also try plugging router directly into wall phone socket and remove all filters in the house. What download speeds are you getting?

Getting a stable(ish) 750kbps downwards from heanet. Thought taking off the filters would mess with the phone and the broadband?

It would mean you have no phone but it would rule out any problem with your filters, try it for at least an hour. Remember, only plug the phone line from the router directly into the main phone socket. Unplug all other phone lines/filters in the house

are you sure its the Router thats dropping the connection? does it happen on more than 1 pc/laptop? Are you connecting to the router wirelessly or through an ethernet connection?

It's connected via ethernet. An old Zxyel one from BT. Might be worth upgrading if it's the problem.....

that might be the problem but getting a new router should be the last resort. does your old Zxyel support logging? if so, enable it and look up the conection log next time it drops to see if there's anything of note

Hi there - had the same problem with a zyxel prestige 623 - changed to BT voyager 2110 - sorted it - something about it not supporting ADSL 2 ... good luck
    :)

not quite - was under the impression it was free (no mention of price at all when i rang) then found a charge of €49 on my invoice  - called bt, ranted for awhile about no mention of price blah blah - they were having none of it, they did say i could send it back and get a refund, but in fairness its not a bad modem for the price.
