Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Heading west in a weeks time, and had intended to go to Westport and stay at the house (in Parklands). However, all the reviews I've seen have been less that appealing. Hence a few questions...
    • Has anyone been this year, and if so, any comments on it? Have 2 kids (5 & 7) & SWMBO in tow.
    • Anywhere else in the area that would be better / more to do?
    • Also, any restaurants in the area that you'd recommend?
    • How far is the site from the main street in Westport - don't fancy driving the m/home in and out all the time - can it be walked???
    All comments appreciated.

Stayed there last year for 4 days and thought it was excellent - great if you have kids and bicycles. Lovely space. You could walk easily to Westport (maybe 1-2kms) and there are some nice pubs along the quays with great food.

Have stayed there a number of times and always find it very good. €37 for campervan which is on the high side but is worth it for the facilities (especially if you have young kids) ...excellent toilet/shower/washup area which is kept spotless, pub on site with music at night, indoor play area for young children, outdoor play area, tennis courts. About 15-20mins walk to the town centre.

    Paul.
