    Liking the RPK., :)
But i wont break my wooden gun ban until such a time as a PKM shows its head, or at the very least, a really nice AK47. :D

some really nice ak47 out there, the lct akm 2009 version is rather exceptional ;)

( i know you mention ak47 but when most people say ak47 and you then show them a picture they normally meant the akm due to movies and such, LCt do a nice true ak47 as well but at 500usd + its a little on the price heavy side for what it is )

    So's the price though., :D

I was gonna settle for the G&G as its the best and most realistic ive used. it doesnt strip ala VFC style but has a lovely finish and the bolt feels like the real jobbie. :)

I'd love to see a decent dboys effort though.

never used one myself but read good things about the g&g in the past, its the most easily attainable ak47 at least, the g&g ak47 akms and aims used lct as an oem producer so nice externals are of standard and they just throw the g&g gearbox in

The ak47 is long obsolete, the airsoft version is the type 3, its only common because TM made an AK47, went with the common one called ak47 just because it is literally an "AK47", even though it is less common in reality, long since replaced by any 7.62 AK using country with the AKM pattern.

Its pointless to get an AK47 over an AKM, they have a rubbish stock angle for comfort, and a skinny fore end instead of the nice chunky AKM onwards fore ends.

They look way less badass than the AKM too, with its sharp slanted muzzle device, ribbed top cover, and stamped receiver and so on.

Am I mad or is that an AK47 styles gas block, rather than 74?

    /end obsessive detail spotting.

i had not thought about this myself, but i had heard this theory over at arnies as well, tbh i can not say 100% but it could actualy be the other way round with jg having rebranded the ak and aps being the oem, know aps have started selling direct

angle is wrong but its can easily be changed as it is all pin construction

The 7.62 rpk uses that type of gas block, you could always use a drum mag and muzzle nut with it to have a 7.62 rpk rather than the rpk74.

    Refinish Airsoft Bakelite Magazines

Welcome to a small guide to adding a slightly more realistic finish to your Bakelite airsoft magazines. Over the last few weekends I've been experimenting with how to obtain a nice finish. I've included the steps I've used bellow, this is by no means the best or only method out there ( a simple search of youtube will give you a number of existing guides ) but i do hope this guide will be of some use.

    Russian Camouflage Quick Reference Guide

This started off as a guide in the Russian Impressions thread on boards but know i can no longer edit my posts i moved it over to the website. This article is a work in progress, it is meant as a quick guide to common Soviet/Russian camouflage pattens and where these can be purchased. In the future i hope to expand the list and add more links and reference material.

Bag seems like a handy idea. Hows it work out in the real world? Anyone used one?

Masada if you see an OD or Black one anywhere please let me know:)

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,984 ✭✭✭NakedDex

It's like a LowePro Slingshot with MOLLE loops. I might actually pick up one of these just as a general use bag. It'll probably never see a skirmish field, but if it's anything like my Slingshot, it's as handy as a small pot.

Dnt know if this is the exact same thing, but it looks pretty similar, half the price, and many different colors

The 7.62 Nato version of the Masada, no news on an AEG of that yet. The real Massoud is still very early days never mind a replica. The real Masada was alot more mature before airsoft replicas were being though of for it.

Have not even seen any rumours on this , the pts will have a 5.56 and 7.62 lower but the massoud lower would also need a new upper due to it using the sr25 esk larger mags, the stock will be avaliable so you could at least have a look alike
