KWA announced a deal back in July to make fully-licensed Vectors based on their NS2 gas blowback system. Press release said they were due for release mid-2011

Not really "new" news per-se but I noticed some rather nice Vietnam-era additions to VFC's gas-charger family when I went looking for more info on Inokatsu's upcoming Vietnam-era armalite series.

    m26 and m67 frag grenade gas-chargers:
    M2667.jpg

and m18 and Willie Pete (WP: White Phosphorous) smoke grenade gas-chargers:
    m1815.jpg

Edit. I did notice something else, and I'm not sure if this has fallen under the radar; in reference to some WE GBBR projects (an M16VN, m14, and Sten), there was a fourth picture included ..... enjoy this one folks (I am, if it's true):

Have the top ones been released already Lemming? I notice the second pic has coming soon but not the first, these would be quite handy since I've only 1 mag for most of my pistols:o

The post date on the blog entry for those VFC chargers was May, and a quick look at the VFC site shows all four chargers listed, so they could well be all available now. Have a check on Redwolf.

Edit: The m26/m67 frag chargers are definitely available. Both are listed on Redwolf for around $42

Edit #2: the m18/WP chargers are available elsewhere for around the same price.

It would be nice if there was real wood grips on it. Looking forward to
this release. I was disappointed with the Tanaka version after the hassle I
had getting one. It felt very delicate being ABS so a full metal version I reckon
I will be drooling over. LOVE the back sight! No sign of any Trads on it which is a
shame. (at least there is no ugly white letters though)

ok not suitable for skirmishing in the republic for a nice option for anyone looking to travel
Jedianten: A&K SVD Mod mystery revealed
Guys at Jedianten have a few days ago presented a new mod for the A&K SVD (...presumably it should work on AtoZ and ASG versions also), that makes cycling/cocking the action a piece of cake. The mystery behind this ease of cycling has finally been revealed:

Some modified internal part makes this gun so easy to operate . This way , that means more about the Hi-cap magazine.(about 160 rounds) If this gun is too hard to cock , why should I need Hi-cap magazine.

I take it this is the SocomGear version? Which means it'll be brilliant in every conceivable manner, but cost more than a car.

About the inokatsu 1911 is it the magazine double stack? Because single stacks cant hold the thickness of the CO2 canister.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,787 ✭✭✭Evade

They might do the something similar to KJ mags where the CO2 bulb sticks out at the sides.

If you look, you can clearly see two of the pictures showing contours on both sides of the magwell to facilitate the CO2 canister.

    Ares M200:
Pro's - Great replica, choice of gas or spring bolts, both included.
    Con's - Silly price, hi-cap magazine.

    SocomGear M200:
Pro's - Potential to be a near perfect replica, shell ejecting bolt, steel construction.
Con's - Ridiculous price, seven round magazine, shell ejecting.

Now, here's where someone sane steps in and makes an M200 with a spring bolt from high quality aluminium/magnesium alloy - industry standard for high end AEG's - a mid-cap magazine and a price mark around €450-550.
First company to do that, makes a killing. Fact. Want proof? How many Snow Wolf M99's were sold compared to the SocomGear M82 which had a couple of months head-start? People are still talking about wanting the Snow Wolf M82, simply because it looks the same and it's less than a quarter of the price.

Honestly, like everyone here, I'd love one, but SocomGear is trying to sell a Ferrari to a market that can barely afford a Fiat. It's no wonder they're only making "less than 50 pcs", all of which have to be pre-ordered.

On the topic of shell ejecting. Whatever happened to that shell ejecting M4 AEG? That looked very interesting and with the quick change option to use it as a standard AEG for skirmishes etc.
