Magpul PTS aluminum RIS handguard is now on ehobby for 90US.

    http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/accessories/r-i-s-r-a-s/for-rifles-aegs/magpul-pts-aluminum-alloy-handguard-for-masada-acr-dark-earth.html

Looks quite nice, I must say.

must resist spending more money on already overpriced gun

    does look sweet though

Redwolf have Echo1 GPMG up on site, or whatever the yanks are calling it these days, m240 i think. It looks nice, has to be downgraded for ireland, and fully loaded weighs in at a hefty 10kg, so totally impractical but cool all the same, very cool. Overweight but cool i thinks that known as the Hicks rationale. Im gonna start saving.

overloaded? Lemon's 60 is 11, and the inokatsu gimpy is 12kg :P that one's light :P you dont seem to appreciate how BIG and LONG the gpmg is, its not a 'run and gun minimi' by a long stretch. and the m240 has a handguard/heatshield, gpmg doesn, there are other differences too.

An even more expensive version of the Magpul ACR out of the box at $660.

    http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/eac-custom-guns/aeg/magpul-masada-acr-cqb-railed-aeg-dark-earth.html

This actually still works out cheaper than buying the standard version and fitting the accessories to it yourself.

I think it looks more badass, almost AK look with the gas block exposed and the CQB barrel fitted.

The ACR is starting to grow on me a little, I can feel a case of Apple syndrome coming on:o

dunno about the Apple syndrome as i still refuse to buy their products but that is one nice rifle, kinda looks futuristic but not too much to make it look odd :)

There's so very much wrong with that statement that I'm not sure if I should even start.

In semi-related news, passing Conns Cameras yesterday I noticed they have the GoPro HD range in stock, including the helmet mountable version. A bit pricey at €300 (probably cheaper online), but a friend uses one when snowboarding and the phenomonal quality explains the price. They're impact resistant, waterproof and have a nice wide angle lens to catch all the action. Something to consider for anyone out there who wants to make a really high end airsoft video, but doesn't fancy strapping a camcorder to their noggin.

Those cameras are god damn amazing. My brother has one and uses it to record his power boat races. I've been meaning to rob it and bring it airsofting sometime.

Haven't come across it at all before. beautiful price tag to boot:)

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,205 ✭✭✭Firekitten

Its over priced, ineffective, 15-20 years old, and absolutely utterly impossible to get spares, or spare mags for. END. Lovely, if you have a good number of contacts, and a small bank in your pocket.

Yup. It's 'classic airsoft', i.e. pre Tokyo Marui AEG

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,205 ✭✭✭Firekitten

Yep, gas, external rig classic Retardedly overpriced, even if it was in stock, or available these days.
