Is it just me or does the upper look a bit pink?

How long have Dboys been using the proper Gen III stock an does the battery go in the butt plate now or is it still under the cheek rest?

    Want !!!!

Is that a Classic Army SA58 OSW one without the trads? or a totally new company making an exact replica??? Curious since I paid big bucks for one and the Magazines used are pretty unique and not compatible with other AEG's of the same manufacture and series.
(Currently I paid about 50 Euro's for a 1000rnd mag for one dropped and broke it paid for another and dropped and broke that grrrrr!
the mags are full metal but plastic at the top and are susceptible to breaking at very very very light falls/drops )

Be really careful here when it comes to spare mags if this is a new manufacturer!!!

Classic Army Branded Mags are not compatible with King Arms or Star/Ares branded magazines, in fact King Arms sell the FAL and L1A1 and the mags from the same company are not compatible with each other.

Cool thanks for letting me know.
Not sure if things have changed but at the time I bought mine
there was only Hi-cap mags being made for Classic Army
and no mid-caps available (it may have changed since)

The top plastic part of the mag is only held in the metal shell by a single small screw and nut
found on the base plate of the mag, The square nut sits on the tiniest bit of plastic (it may even be only superglued)
if the mag gets dropped accidentally they have a tenancy
to break the nut from the tiny bit of plastic that its secured to and wreck the mag. So if buying try not to trip and fall
on your face like I did or let the mag drop accidentally.

when i bought mine 3 years ago there were no mids, hope thats changed! it would be cool if the CA mags worked in the clone.
i bought one of the 1000rd mags and didnt like the look of it at all, so now i have an expensive paperweight :(

Is it just me or was it not firing every shot?

Basically the guy was not returning the trigger fully, which means it's not resetting and thus not able to fire. On most guns this is only a fraction forward, but for NBB pistols with their large trigger pulls, you have to let it fully return (practically) before you can fire

You'd think with a display video like that they'd make it look as good as possible though?

    new RA-TECH WE M14 kits http://www.youtube.com/user/ratech5915

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,132 ✭✭✭Stonewolf

I've heard the WE M14 is fairly accepting of RS furniture of which there is no shortage. It can be kinda pricey though.

If RA-Tech really wanted to take peoples money they'd make an airsoft (read: cheap) version of the Bulldog 762 (or any of the other bullpups, Morita anyone?) or one of the really nice adjustable polymer ones.

Will be interested to find out the quality of these. According to eb they've got a fully functioning fibre optic both for the reddot and 4x zoom versions.

I hadn't even finished reading the first sentence before my mind was full of Morita Carbines.

Are the Moritas from Starship Troopers not built on Ruger Mini 14s?

The idea of a buy & sell on Facebook is...strange. On the one hand, you have a better tool at knowing who some of these people are.

But then, there is the argument to be made that Facebook is very very public. We are kind of in a nice little world here on Boards.ie Adverts - it is quite self contained, and discussion of things >1 joule is not permitted, and 100% forbidden for sale. Now, if it gets out on Boards.ie, that's one thing. But on FB where all posts are permanently logged, and unable to actually be deleted...that just doesn't feel right.

I don't know, I'm quite sceptical with this kind of thing. Great that people are more identifiable, but yeah...I just get the Joe Duffy shivers for whatever reason

What do you think the Mini 14 is based on?

I know the Mini14 basically a 5.56mm M14 but it's a lot smaller. I don't think you'd squeeze an M14 into a Morita body. It would be like trying to jam an SR25 into something designed to take an M4.
