Westernised idiotproofing of the magwell sucks. If i get one, thats coming straight off.

Looks good, but I don't think the man knows what hes talking about much... 'dont want to use c02'

that wouldnt be because of the blowback, thats because of the 400fps WE. Sort your lives out.

Yeah - saw that the first time this video was posted and couldn't for the life of me figure out why that was on there. I've recently started using AK aegs and I never have had an issue adjusting to the standard stanag 'push drop shove slap' method to the 'click, knock free, replace' method.

As nice as this looks I'm not sure that I will be going for it - I've a few nice GBBRs now which have sat in their boxes unused for almost their entire lives - mostly because going to a Sunday skirmish with real cap mags against lads with stubby killers and box mags is not always fun. I appreciate the 'have more of a challenge thing', but it's still only fun to a point.

What I've started to do is bring more guns to a skirmish, so that if there's a semi-only game, or games that suit a bolty, or support gun more...then I can use 'em. Basically it's just me saying "I have them...I don't want to use them for a full day...but I don't want to not ever use them" and I have to say, it feels a lot better ('cause you don't feel you've wasted money), and I've enjoyed my skirmish days more.

I do like the WE AK shown, I just wonder how good the mags are. I've heard fantastic things about the WE G39/G36 mags, so hopefully they're of the same caliber

    That would be Calibre.

And Genghiz: Calibre can also mean 'quality, ability or distinction'

I believe Inari was atesting to the quality of the products.

Really looking forward to the Bren and VSS release. But hopefully will have

It seems a while ago, A.P.S. redesigned their ASK206, making it look like it's been "battered around the place". It's has be re-named:

Here, I'll do your ak like that for a €10er!

Jesus, that looks aweful, they just added another chimp to the assembly line and handed them a pile of sandpaper... it juts 'scratched' rather than aged...

You should see G&P's aged version of the stoner still too shiny to be aged :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,205 ✭✭✭Firekitten

The stoner's surface will oxidise and dull, that pot metal wont...

And I'd take g&p weathering over that anyday...

Was in an airsoft shop recently where a Posh sounding mother had her
little underaged Tommy wanting to buy a gun with the mammy's money
with her sounding furious that the local shop cheapest 90 Euro AEG
was out of stock for over 3 weeks. She sounded
so irate when told the next step up was in the 130Euro price range, wanting
to know what came with it and wanting extras. Had to force myself
to keep quite and not say something to the ol bint.

The unfortunate thing is you also get in in other places. The "I want a laptop that can play the newest games for under €400" one.

    Meanwhile back to Airsoft News!:D

Ebairsoft are stocking an ACOG style scope with working optical fibre.
    No batteries needed.
Looks like they are only stocking it in Green dot at the moment, but Red and Orange are meant to be available as well.

    Linky; http://www.ebairsoft.com/aabb-optical-fiber-style-sight-p-4801.html

Pretty decent price as well as it includes shipping. Probably still get hit with customs/tax/charges though.

Not sure how good this would be in low light conditions.

    Evening all.

I like 134a gas to power my GBB's and Gas powered Airsoft gear.
while I have the option of Propane (aka green gas) I've always preferred
    134a for no particular reason.

My Fathers a refrigeration engineer who warned me about this about a year
ago, he said there was gonna be heavy restrictions on 134A Gas
(HFC gas used for refrigeration/air conditioning etc and....airsoft guns)

Due to our colder crap weather 134a can be used in Ireland as a power source to get an otherwise Hot GBB gun to fire under the limit when quite possibly it may fire over the limit using green/propane. This is an important factor for us.

As an example the early AGM M4's in Ireland may have fired hot on Green and Legal if using 134a gas.

Its also commonly used with abs guns that are not full metal to keep within warranty etc or for the design of the gun, some airsofters have often mentioned that ABS guns could take the power for green gas no problem
so its not an issue if 134a was not available.

In the UK recently I've read this:
    http://www.ukara.org.uk/node/117

Basically the main supplier for airsoft 134a gas has been put under pressure
to stop, and seemingly from visiting airsoft shops I see dis-continued under the for sale of 134a gas.

This may explain the jump in price from about the 7-8 Euro price range to the 19-20 price range bracket and also explain how airsoft retailers cannot get their hands on 134a from their suppliers.

While the same restrictions may not apply to Little old Ireland if we cant get the gas from the supplier in England bound by restrictions it may cause a bit of bother. Stock up folks while you can!!!
