I thought that Belgian gear was affectionately known as Pizzaflage? Or am I thinking of the Swiss alpine one which is equally hideous?

Tony, get on the phone and get me one now

Although for €600, thats pretty ****ing pricey, any vids of it firing?

For that price i want a working sight, locking bolt catch and blowback tbh, thats serious money...for a brand name not easily recognisable in this country.

    Hello Gents,

I wanted to give you all a heads up on our TAR 21 development and release schedule.
In light of the ARES TAR being released in Asia, I will try and provide you with some additional info we initially were planning on keeping private.
Our TAR has gone through the first phase of prototyping, and as in any prototype, needs some wrinkles ironed out. Yes, it takes additional time and funds, but our standards are high.
Realistically, round 2 of improving on our design and prototyping will take about 3-4 weeks, at which point you will all receive an update including pics and technical data.
I can tell you however, that our TAR will include the following features:
1.380 fps out of the box, Ver. 3 gearbox.
2.Interchangeable outer barrel (CTAR and STAR lengths)
3.Quick release gearbox design - the gearbox can be pulled out with the release of 2 pins and utilizing the bolt release, a 15 sec cycle
    4.Externally adjusted hop up
4.Fully electronic trigger and fire selector package, MOSFET and C code included
5.This is a new one...a GBB version to follow shortly, with 100% compatibility with the AEG. Pull the gearbox out, change a few simple parts, and you can switch between the AEG and GBB!
The receiver and most major parts will be compatible with both versions.

We appreciate your patience, and promise you the TAR 21 will be a truly unique and ground breaking airsoft rifle.

    Best regards,

    Guy Ayal

    TSI TAR 21 info.....

comes with working red dot and laser(watch the video) and the price quoted at the end of the video is a inflated japan price apparently but only time will tell, also ares/star have a good reputation just in places other than Dublin maybe ;)

I like Star/Ares stuff. I was giving very serious consideration to just ordering the TAR-21 at the inflated UFC price because I'm so sick of waiting. It's easily one of the finest looking rifles in the world today and I've been waiting for donkeys years to get one.

    However...

    Quick release gearbox?
Electronic trigger and MOSFET as standard?
    Quick install gas blowback box???

Dear Ares, tough luck. I'll wait a bit longer Kudos for trying though.

Edit: Who am I kidding, I'm going to end up with both.

yes the tsi sounds nice, but jesus have we been waiting a long long time for it

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,137 ✭✭✭✭TheDoc

yeah i forgot there ares are star.

Thats still a hefty price though, ok its a competely new gun no one else is doing, but you would want something serious for it.

Quick strip down isnt something that is going to benefit me i nthe field, really. Though the GBB interchange, sounds far fetched.

Ill wait and see, knowing masada, he will somehow get it before me anyway so i can have a look see

    Jesus, AKs just got uglier.

    Magpul should basterdise an AK.
I think it would be very interesting.
