I so very dearly want to justify skirmishing it, but I just can't. I have the CAW one and it's basically just a €350 wall hanger now.

But it Looks just great and at a price like that for the
pure fun I would love one even it it is a wall hanger.

The Scary part is the price of buying enough grenades
    to fully load the thing.

    It is quite tempting.

How does the "free shipping" work when sending guns to Ireland?

I swore I would never order from ebairsoft again, After sending 30 emails trying to sort out an order, and never receiving the item or a refund.

Bingo. Been there, spent the money, cried the tears. Twice the price of the launcher at the very least. Six decent grenades at the bones of 70 a piece. Double that if you want to reload. Then think about having to actually reset, re-gas and reload each grenade after every firing too.
Fun for 30 seconds, a pain in the arse for 30 minutes.

Interesting post on that G36 GBB here:

    http://www.gasguns.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1347

Strange twist to say the least.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,984 ✭✭✭NakedDex

So that means it's not happening then? Well there's my dream shattered again. Unless it's AGM or someone and they just haven't told anyone. That said, the pictures don't show a mag so it could just be someone messing around with a firing block from another GBB and a stripped down G36 aeg body.
The mag is kind of crucial to be believing this is a go-er. So far we've seen M4's and SCAR's, ie the same mag type. We've also seen a few AK's, again, all using the same mag type. The G36 is a departure (albeit a logical next GBB to produce) and I'm guessing a whole new approach would have to be come to in order to make gas G36 mags.

No officially at least, which is a pity. Still might spur WE into getting the finger out and making one themselves.

That looked really promising for a minute. :(

Are these not decent? I'm pretty sure these pro-arms are rebrands. For 8.50 or so euro each, you cant go wrong.

Well there goes that, I was saying that about the mags a few pages back. I got thinking about how it was done in that AUG blowback, can't remember who made it.

If it was to be done, you'd need a metal case surrounded by polymer but that would limit capacity of the gas and bbs and the position of the feed ramps of the mag.

A gbb G36 with locking charging handle and working bolt catch would be great, a dual optic or even the new A2 optics with decent eye relief would be icing on the cake.

There's a part of me that hopes this is AGM's doing. They cloned the MP40 and then made an Stg44 by themselves, who's to say they didn't take the experience of cloning a GBB M4 and use it to make a G36 by themselves.

I got a bunch of them and was initially fairly impressed (given the price). They haven't lasted too well though. Their range is limited and they all needed work to fix the retention ring so that it would... well... actually retain. Their metal ones are a bit better for only a bit extra but they still have pretty short range due to a small tank.
Unfortunately, if you want decent grenades, you can't scrimp. Madbull are the only surefire bet I've come across, with G&P doing respectably well too.

Well technically they could just drop the internals of the existing STANAG mags into an aluminium frame and stick it into an injection moulder to get the effect, but methinks they may want to take advantage of the extra size in the mag for a bigger tank.

Sod the optics. Stick a rail on it and be done. 90% of people who would buy it would just be putting a rail on as an aftermarket part anyway, may as well do it as stock and save the hassle (and the money, the optics would have to be more to produce, regardless of quality).

Hope so because I much prefare the more realistic WA/AGM gas system to the WE system with brass cylinders all over.

  • Registered Users Posts: 118 ✭✭Harakka

It would be great if it was AGM, problem is the gbb system in those photos are the WE type. An AGM made G36 would surely use the WA system as thats what theyre familiar with.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,984 ✭✭✭NakedDex

True, but they could be just trying it out. Clone companies don't have the handicap of using technology from one place. They'll use whatever is the easiest at the time. They might have found a nice, easy way of coverting a WE block to fit a G36 body.

It's all speculation though. It could well be a giant hoax and some nutter is having a laugh at the sudden worldwide scandal of the G36 GBB. It could also be some genius trying to point out the gap in the market by carefully sitting a few parts beside each other to make them look like development shots.

Whatever it is, the end use answer is simple. We want our bloody G36's. Hurry the sodding hell up.

Thing is WA hasn't done the short stroke gas piston design yet, only the Armalite style. VFC have it more or less right for their SCAR GBB though.

Yep, its taken off ever since the AGM release.

On the WGC new release list there are 5 KA metal receivers for the WA/AGM M4 GBB.

If I wasn't on short time I'd pick up a few more AGM M4s and kit all them out differently. I'd love to try out the burst fire trigger group.

Okay guys, due to the feedback about this thread in feedback...

What we're going to try out is a similar thing that you see in this forum with the picture threads.

We will sticky this and keep it as a news update thread. No discussion, just post updates.

Pudding will shortly make a discussion thread to go along with it that I will then sticky.

Hope you're all okay with that :pac:
